Hi! I'm a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I received my masters for Walden University. I have been in the field of nursing for over 16 years. I have experience working with people across the lifespan treating mainly anxiety, depression and ADHD. I do not manage people in acute withdrawal at this time. Safety, transparency and evidence based care are the foundation of my prescribing. Currently taking new clients ages 6-65 seeking medication management with optional supportive therapy. I believe in working together with the client to manage mental health challenges and reach realistic and rewarding goals. I utilize the lowest therapeutic dose of medications and am conservative in prescribing controlled substances and polypharmacy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is the ability to empathize. Having empathy is an integral factor in building a trusting patient-provider relationship.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy, MBT, is of therapy that I incorporate in my practice that include present moment awareness, meditation, and breathing exercises. This therapy was formulated to address depression. Utilizing these tools, I'm able to teach a client to be in the here and now as well as break away from negative thought patterns that can cause a decline into a mood-disordered state; this therapy can help a person fight off a difficult frame of mind before it takes hold.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a therapy technique that I utilize to help clients find new ways to behave by changing their thought patterns.
