In our first session, the focus will be on establishing a rapport, learning about your past experiences, current supports. We will then delve into the reasons you sought out therapy and start working on creating a tailored plan on how to best meet your goals.
I am an empathic, compassionate, and genuinely invested clinician who wants to empower you to regain a sense of well-being. Not only will you be able to talk about what's bothering you, but I can help you manage your stressors by teaching coping skills and mindfulness techniques from evidence-based approaches such as ACT, CBT, SBFT, and CPT.
I enjoy working with adults who are open to creating a collaborative space where we can work to develop your ability to manage your stressors by implementing coping skills and relaxation techniques that are individualized and evidence-based approaches.
I often use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my practice, but I pull from multiple cognitive-based therapies. With ACT, we'll look at how your thoughts and feelings affect your emotions and experience. We will also work to identify your values and how to best align your goals to live in alignment with your values.
Cognitive Behavioral looks at how in a situation our thoughts can create us to feel and react. We look at how to identify negative thoughts patterns, challenging those thought patterns and how to replace them into a more balanced view of the world.
