New to Grow
My name is Amy, and I am a wife and mother of two boys. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and have pursued additional training in Addictions Counseling. With over 20 years of experience, I have provided therapy to both adolescents and adults across a variety of settings, including schools and community-based programs. Throughout my career, I have owned a group practice and served on the leadership team of an outpatient clinic. In addition to my clinical work, I am an executive coach who enjoys supporting business owners and professionals in leadership roles as they navigate career transitions and challenges.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin exploring what has brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll identify the approach that best fits your needs and goals. My aim is for you to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and reassured—along with a clear plan for moving forward.
With over 20 years of experience, I have worked with a diverse range of clients navigating a variety of challenges. I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from modalities such as CBT, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, while incorporating additional techniques as needed to best support each individual. I value building strong, lasting therapeutic relationships and enjoy working with clients who are seeking ongoing support through life transitions, as well as those committed to long-term personal growth.
My ideal client is someone who feels ready—even if a little unsure—to begin a journey of self-discovery and meaningful change. I work with both teens and adults who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and mood-related concerns, including those that feel more intense or overwhelming. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel understood, grounded, and empowered to move forward. I also bring a background in Executive Coaching, which allows me to support professionals and business owners who are striving for a healthier balance between their work and personal lives, while staying connected to what matters most to them. With experience in substance use treatment, I’m comfortable working with individuals managing co-occurring concerns who are not currently in active addiction, offering compassionate support without judgment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), developed by Aaron Beck, to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I work collaboratively to identify and reframe unhelpful thinking patterns while building practical coping skills. This approach supports clients in making meaningful, goal-oriented changes and improving overall emotional well-being.
Strength-Based
I use Strengths-Based Therapy to help clients identify and build on their existing abilities, resilience, and resources. Influenced by the work of Donald Clifton, I focus on what’s working rather than what’s wrong, empowering clients to recognize their capacity for growth and change. This approach supports increased confidence, motivation, and practical progress toward their goals.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I utilize Person-Centered Therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and valued. I focus on empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, allowing clients to guide the process while I provide reflection and support. This approach helps clients build self-awareness, confidence, and the ability to make meaningful, self-directed changes.
