I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. Because I believe in a Person-centered approach to therapy, together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I utilize Integrative therapies because like it, I am progressive. I understand that no two people fit into the same box, so I use a combination of therapeutic tools and approaches to fit he needs of each client. I work closely with each client to design a therapeutic plan that allows for collaboration to help heal issues such as grief, depression, anxiety, self-harm and eating disorders. In doing so, clients learn to recognize triggers, spot limitations, improve relationships and work to improve their overall well-being.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I utilize CPT to help my clients who feel like they're stuck due in part because of a traumatic event, change their thoughts about the trauma. Through collaboration, the client and I discuss the trauma experience, identify whatever automatic thoughts or emotions that may arise, then question their validity in terms of today. This ultimately helps the client move into a place of healing as we work together to find alternative ways of understanding the experience.
