My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my practice, I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as a collaborative and goal-oriented approach to help clients navigate challenges and achieve their desired outcomes. This model emphasizes strengths, resilience, and future possibilities, which allows me to guide clients in recognizing and building upon their inherent abilities to create meaningful change. Through SFBT, I focus on fostering reassurance, empathy, and understanding by validating the client's experiences and deeply listening to their concerns. I work to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered to explore solutions that align with their values and goals. By highlighting what is already working in their lives and identifying small, actionable steps forward, I aim to help clients develop a sense of hope and confidence in their capacity to overcome obstacles. My role is not only to assist clients in envisioning a preferred future but also to acknowledge and honor their unique strengths and efforts along the way, offering encouragement and support as they navigate the journey toward healing and growth.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and resolve the lingering effects of trauma by accessing and reprocessing distressing memories. Through bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, clients can reduce the emotional charge associated with traumatic events and reframe their negative beliefs about themselves. This process empowers clients to shift from feelings of shame, fear, or self-blame to a more compassionate and affirming understanding of their worth and resilience. EMDR facilitates healing by integrating past experiences into a healthier, more balanced perspective, enabling clients to move forward with greater confidence and emotional freedom

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to empower clients in understanding and addressing their emotions, especially those shaped by past trauma. Through CBT, I help clients identify and explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, fostering insight into how certain patterns may have developed as a response to trauma. I work collaboratively with clients to normalize behaviors that may have been adaptive for survival in the past but are now maladaptive in their current circumstances. By framing these behaviors within the context of their trauma, clients can develop self-compassion and release feelings of shame or self-blame. CBT allows us to challenge and reframe distorted beliefs clients may hold about themselves, shifting their perspectives from self-criticism to self-acceptance. Through this process, clients begin to recognize their inherent worth, identify healthier coping mechanisms, and take actionable steps toward positive change. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can explore and transform their narratives, fostering resilience and personal growth.
