a licensed therapist and ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider in Florida and Massachusetts with over 17 years of experience. My specialization lies in supporting people facing ADHD and/or anxiety challenges. Beyond my ADHD and anxiety niche, I've had the privilege of helping clients navigate a range of mental health concerns including depression, low self-confidence, and relational conflict. Everyone's preferences and needs are different, and that's why the treatment plan we devise will be tailored to meet your distinct goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session, we'll begin with introductions before delving into the challenges you're currently experiencing. Collaboratively, we'll formulate a plan that will serve as our guide in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am able to create a supportive and collaborative environment for the clients that I work with. I believe in tailoring approaches to individual needs, and I'm committed to ongoing professional development to enhance my skill set, especially in the areas of ADHD and anxiety.

I enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals, spanning older children, teens, adults, and older adults. My expertise is particularly well-suited for those dealing with ADHD and/or executive functioning challenges, including comorbidities, as well as individuals grappling with anxiety disorders.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by helping clients recognize and challenge negative thoughts, develop behavioral strategies tailored to their symptoms, and integrate mindfulness for things like anxiety management. I find CBT techniques especially helpful addressing concerns related to anxiety and stress management.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

In utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with clients, I often integrate mindfulness practices for heightened awareness and emotion regulation. Teach interpersonal effectiveness skills to navigate social challenges, and employ distress tolerance techniques to manage emotional distress. I also encourage radical acceptance of certain symptoms and utilize behavioral chain analysis to explore and address problematic behaviors. DBT can be very helpful with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and issues with impulse control.

Family Therapy

Family therapy can be really helpful in fostering open communication and addressing patterns of interaction that contribute to difficulties. This approach is particularly valuable in resolving conflicts, improving communication, and supporting individuals within the broader family unit. Family sessions are about understanding family dynamics. It then becomes possible to create positive changes that benefit everyone in the family system.

Integrative

I prefer not to limit myself to a single therapeutic modality; instead, I draw from a diverse range of approaches, including CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy. I believe in tailoring my methods to the unique needs of each client. There's no one-size-fits-all solution in therapy!

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

When using solution-focused therapy with clients, the focus on on strengths and resources. I work with the client to set clear and collaborative goals. Together, we'll explore exceptions to the challenges, envision positive outcomes, celebrate small wins, and highlight successful coping strategies. Solution focused therapy can address concerns related to problem-solving, stress management, and communication and/or interpersonal relationship challenges.
