As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and find a path toward healing and growth. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions, build resilience, and make meaningful changes. I work collaboratively with each person to help them move forward, find clarity, and foster a sense of well-being, so they can lead a more fulfilling and balanced life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll start by getting to know each other. I'll ask about your background, including your current challenges, past experiences, and any previous therapy you've had. This helps me understand your unique situation and what’s important to you. We’ll also discuss your goals for therapy, including what you’d like to achieve and any changes you’re hoping to make. Together, we’ll outline a plan to work toward those goals and create a comfortable space where you feel supported throughout the process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my strengths lie in my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe and understood. I like to approach each session with empathy and genuine curiosity about your experiences. My collaborative style allows me to work closely with clients to identify their unique strengths and goals. I’m skilled at helping clients gain clarity, develop practical coping strategies, and foster long-term emotional resilience. My flexibility in using different therapeutic approaches ensures that each client’s needs are met with care, whether they’re seeking healing from trauma, managing anxiety, or building a more fulfilling life.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My clients are often ready to explore new approaches to mental well-being, especially those centered around mindfulness. They may be seeking relief from stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, and are ready to embrace practices that help them stay present and grounded. Whether it's learning to manage racing thoughts, cultivating self-awareness, or simply developing a deeper connection with themselves, my clients value the power of mindfulness as a tool for personal growth and lasting change. They are open to developing new habits, growing from within, and are ready to take an active role in their healing journey.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy focuses on developing non-judgmental awareness of thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. I incorporate mindfulness practices to help clients reduce stress, increase emotional regulation, and improve self-awareness. These techniques, such as mindful breathing and body scans, assist clients in responding to challenges with greater clarity and calm.

Somatic

Somatic therapy integrates the mind-body connection, focusing on how physical sensations are linked to emotions and trauma. It uses body awareness, breathwork, movement, and touch to release stored tension and help clients process unresolved trauma. In my practice, I help clients tune into their bodily sensations during emotional or stressful moments, teaching them how to release discomfort and regulate their nervous system for emotional healing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is a goal-oriented, future-focused approach that emphasizes finding solutions rather than exploring problems in depth. It operates on the premise that clients have the strengths and resources needed to create change. In my practice, I help clients identify their goals, explore past successes, and develop practical strategies to move forward. This method is particularly effective for those looking for rapid results and clarity in addressing specific challenges, as it encourages action and positive change through concise, empowering conversations.

Polyvagal Therapy

Polyvagal therapy is based on the polyvagal theory, which suggests that the vagus nerve plays a key role in regulating stress and emotional responses. The therapy focuses on helping clients engage their parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes feelings of safety and calm. In practice, I guide clients through techniques such as deep breathing, gentle movement, and visualization to activate the vagus nerve and shift from a fight-or-flight state to a more balanced, restorative state.

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology emphasizes strengths, resilience, and cultivating positive emotions. It aims to build well-being and life satisfaction rather than solely addressing pathology. In therapy, I use interventions like gratitude exercises, strengths identification, and fostering optimism to shift focus from deficits to personal growth and flourishing. This helps clients develop a more positive mindset and improve overall life satisfaction.
