In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Welcome! Therapy can seem scary at first so I truly want you to know I am here to listen and to help in any way I can. I prefer to ease into the session testing the waters one toe at a time so you well feel comfortable as we begin talking about why you came.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a good listener who looks to identify areas of distress that need healing. I often see distress as a possibility for growth but feel my client should understand WHY growth in this area is important for them. I want my clients to be vested in their own recovery.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have used CBT to assist clients in identifying thought patterns that are not in alignment with their desire to improve mood and minimize self-destructive behaviors.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamics has been useful in discovering links between past trauma and present cognitive distortions.
