Hello! I’m Kitty, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 17 years of experience in mental health. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, including children, teens, adults, and couples navigating complex challenges such as personality disorders, severe mental illness, and relationship struggles. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered. Together, we’ll explore the challenges that weigh on you and work toward healing the wounds that impact your life. If spirituality is important to you, I am happy to integrate biblical or other spiritual principles into our work, always honoring your unique worldview, faith, or orientation. I deeply value the relationships I build with my clients and consider it an honor to walk alongside you in your journey. Growth and healing are possible, and I look forward to helping you find your light!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we'll do a brief introduction, go over some of my practice documents and then we'll hit the ground running! You'll have an opportunity to share what is bringing you to counseling and together we will begin creating some goals for our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I love working with individuals, couples, and children/teens navigating mental health challenges and personality disorders. With 10 years of experience in inpatient mental health, I understand how the system impacts growth and healing, and I’m here to help you find your path forward. It can be difficult to find a therapist who truly enjoys working with kids and teens, but as a parent of three and someone who has done deep inner child healing myself, I bring both personal and professional insight into creating a safe, supportive space for young people and families. I welcome clients of all ages and backgrounds and have both lived and clinical experience with ADHD, infidelity, divorce, religious trauma, childhood sexual abuse, Complex PTSD, generational trauma, and gentle parenting. My approach blends deep compassion with practical, evidence-based techniques to support lasting healing. I believe true healing is possible, and you don’t have to stay stuck in the pain of the past. Together, we’ll explore, heal, and create a future where you feel free and empowered.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with individuals and couples who are ready to explore the deeper layers of their mind and emotions, uncovering the patterns that shape their lives. My approach is especially suited for those who are introspective, growth-oriented, and eager to engage in deep healing work. If you find yourself feeling stuck in old patterns, struggling with relationship challenges, or seeking a greater sense of self-awareness and purpose, I’m here to help. I believe in the transformative power of love and enjoy guiding clients to develop a deeper connection with themselves and their relationships. One of my greatest passions is inner child healing, providing a safe and nurturing space to process past wounds and create lasting change. I am especially experienced in supporting clients navigating religious trauma, sexual abuse recovery, affairs (on both sides), divorce, and relationship struggles. I also have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, parenting struggles, severe mental illness, and personality disorders. I work best with those who are open to self-exploration and are ready to do the deeper emotional work needed for healing. My approach is intuitive, compassionate, and insight-driven—if you’re looking for a therapist who can help you identify and release the core blocks to healing, I would be honored to walk that journey with you.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Imagine your mind is like a big family living in a house together. You’ve got different parts—some are loud and take charge, some are shy and quiet, and some are trying really hard to protect you, even if their methods are a little... unhelpful. IFS helps us get to know all these parts with curiosity and compassion. Instead of fighting against the parts that feel anxious, angry, or overwhelmed, we learn to listen to them, understand what they need, and help them feel safe. And at the center of it all is you—the calm, wise, and compassionate leader of this inner family. When you connect with that core Self, you can help your parts heal, work together, and bring more balance to your life. So really, IFS isn’t about fixing you because you’re not broken. It’s about helping all your inner parts feel seen, heard, and supported so they don’t have to work so hard to protect you in ways that might be holding you back. And the best part? You don’t have to do it alone—I’ll be here to guide you every step of the way!

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Think of your relationship like a dance. Over time, couples fall into certain steps—some that feel connected and loving, and others that feel like you're stepping on each other's toes. Maybe one partner pulls away while the other reaches out, or you both end up in a cycle of frustration and distance. It’s not that you don’t love each other—it’s just that the dance isn’t working. Emotionally Focused Therapy helps us slow down, look at the patterns, and understand what’s really happening beneath the surface. Instead of just reacting, we learn to recognize the emotions and needs that drive those reactions. The goal isn’t to ‘fix’ each other, but to create a space where you both feel safe, seen, and deeply connected. With EFT, we’re not just putting a band-aid on the problems; we’re helping you rebuild trust, security, and closeness from the inside out. Think of it as learning a new dance—one where you move together with love, understanding, and maybe even a little laughter along the way

Faith based therapy

Faith-based therapy is about bringing your spiritual beliefs into the healing process in a way that feels natural and meaningful to you. It’s not about prescribing a particular doctrine or telling you how to believe—it’s about honoring your faith as a source of strength, guidance, and healing. For many people, faith provides comfort in difficult times, a sense of purpose, and a deeper connection to something greater than themselves. In therapy, we can explore how your beliefs and values can support your emotional and mental well-being. Whether that means leaning into prayer, scripture, mindfulness, or simply reflecting on your spiritual journey, we’ll integrate faith in a way that feels right for you. At the heart of it, faith-based therapy is about creating a safe space where your whole self—mind, heart, and spirit—is welcomed and nurtured. We’ll work together to find hope, healing, and direction, using both psychological tools and spiritual wisdom to help you grow and thrive.
