Hi! I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Massachusetts. I’ve worked in the field for 20 years providing counseling services for individuals, couples, and families. Using an integrative approach, I help individuals looking to build upon their strengths to improve coping skills, better their relationships, and create lasting change. Learning ways to identify our feelings, explore our values, and help to align our day to day life to those values is something that everyone can benefit from exploring.
In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, gather some background information, and begin to focus on what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from sessions moving forward. Clients will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the therapy experience.
As a clinician, I ensure that I am learning from the latest neuroscience on strategies that help to regulate our nervous system. With experience in a variety of interventions, we will work together to determine the best strategies for you to achieve your goals.
I love working with young adults and adults who may be feeling stuck or unsatisfied with an aspect of their life but are unsure where to begin in order for things to change. My clients are looking for a more holistic approach to make real and lasting change. I also love working with parents on helping to navigate all the joys and chaos of parenthood. My clients raising neurodiverse children are looking for understanding, acceptance, and paths forward that they may not be finding in traditional parenting approaches.
Somatic therapy is a body-based approach to healing that goes beyond talk therapy. It helps you understand how your body holds on to stress, trauma, and emotions—and teaches you how to release them in a safe, supportive way. When we experience difficult or overwhelming situations, our nervous system can get stuck in patterns of fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown. These patterns often show up as anxiety, chronic tension, emotional reactivity, or even physical symptoms like headaches or stomach issues. Somatic therapy gently helps you reconnect with your body, using tools like breathwork, gentle movement, grounding exercises, and body awareness. I’m also certified in the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), a research-based, somatic intervention designed to support emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and nervous system resilience. SSP can be a powerful complement to therapy, especially for those who feel stuck or dysregulated despite talk-based approaches. Please note: while SSP can be integrated into counseling sessions, insurance does not cover access to the SSP platform. If you’re enrolled in ongoing therapy with me, access to the full SSP program is available for an additional $100 for year long access.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify and change negative thought patterns that affect your emotions and behaviors. By learning new ways to think and react, you can improve how you feel and handle challenges in your daily life.
An integrative approach to therapy combines different techniques and methods from various therapies to fit your unique needs. It focuses on treating you as a whole person—mind, body, and emotions—helping you find the best ways to heal and grow.
Polyvagal Therapy focuses on how your body's nervous system affects your feelings and reactions. It helps you learn to calm your body’s stress response and feel more grounded and safe by using techniques that engage the nervous system to promote healing and relaxation.
