I’m a Licensed Master of Social Work (MSW) with 7 years of experience in therapy. My journey began with a strong academic foundation, including coursework focused on becoming a school social worker, which has been incredibly valuable in my practice. Although I’m not currently working in a school setting, the knowledge I gained helps me guide and empower parents to advocate for their children within the school system. I have a deep passion for working with children and teens who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, autism, and ADHD. I understand that each child and teen is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs, providing a safe space for them to express themselves and develop the tools to manage their emotions and challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will be doing some brief introductions. Then we will dive into different strengths and weakness that your family is experience with your child. This will help us develop the best treatment goal for your family!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a deep passion for working with children and teens, especially those who may not have connected with other therapists in the past. Parents often tell me that their children feel comfortable with me in a way they haven’t experienced before. I believe this connection is built by taking the time to understand what makes each child feel safe in therapy and respecting their pace—waiting until they’re ready to explore sensitive topics at a pace that feels right for them. In addition to creating a supportive and trusting space, I have training in a variety of therapy modalities, which allows me to tailor my approach to the unique needs of each child. I am always focused on expanding my knowledge and learning new ways to support my clients, ensuring they receive the most effective care possible. If you’re looking for a therapist who is patient, flexible, and dedicated to helping your child thrive, I would love to connect. Together, we can explore the best ways to support your child’s emotional growth and healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’m a therapist with over five years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals overcome anxiety, stress, and negative thinking patterns. Throughout my practice, I’ve seen firsthand how CBT can empower clients to challenge their recurring thoughts and build healthier responses to life’s challenges. In our sessions, we’ll work together to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. By understanding this relationship, you’ll gain valuable tools to shift unhelpful thinking patterns and develop healthier ways of responding to stress and anxiety. My goal is to help you lead a more balanced and fulfilling life, free from the grip of overwhelming thoughts and emotions. If you’re ready to explore how CBT can support you in managing anxiety and improving your well-being, I’m here to guide you through the process. Let’s work together to create lasting change that brings you peace of mind and emotional resilience. Feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation—I look forward to supporting you on your journey to a less anxious and more centered life.

Trauma-Focused CBT

have been using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for the past three years to help clients, particularly children, overcome the effects of trauma. Through this evidence-based approach, I’ve seen significant improvements in managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD. TF-CBT combines the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with specialized activities to help children process their trauma in a way that is engaging and accessible. These activities not only support emotional processing but also help increase their involvement and investment in therapy, making healing more interactive and effective. If you or your child are struggling with trauma-related issues, I’m here to offer support. Together, we’ll work to reduce distressing symptoms and build resilience.

Play Therapy

I have been practicing play therapy for several years and have witnessed its powerful impact on clients of all ages. Play therapy provides a unique and effective way for children, in particular, to express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, helping them process stressors, anxiety, and depression in a safe and supportive environment. Through creative activities such as drawing, role-play, and storytelling, clients can explore their feelings and work through challenges in a non-verbal way, often leading to a significant reduction in symptoms. I’ve seen firsthand how play therapy helps children and adolescents develop coping skills, build emotional resilience, and improve their overall well-being.
