Hi there! I’m Julia, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have experience working with a wide range of clients and unique challenges. I’m here to help you get out of your own head and find balance in the midst of a world that never seems to stop moving. I’m a firm believer that therapy shouldn’t feel like a chore. Rather, an opportunity for growth, and maybe even a little fun. I use humor when it’s needed, empathy, and real-talk to help you make the changes that are going to move you forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session with me, we’ll focus on getting to know each other! We’ll talk a bit about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to get out of it, and maybe even dive into a few things you hadn’t realized were on your mind. I’ll explain the tools I use, like CBT and mindfulness, and we’ll figure out together what’s going to work best for you. My goal is for you have a clear sense of what to expect moving forward by the end of the session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I create a space where clients feel heard and understood, while also keeping things light when needed to ease the tough moments. I take pride in my ability to balance empathy and real-talk, making clients feel both supported and challenged in a way that feels authentic and safe. I enjoy meeting clients where they are at, understanding their unique experiences and stories.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with both adults and young adults who are interested in exploring their challenges, managing difficult emotions, and finding practical ways to navigate life more effectively. Whether it’s addressing past patterns or building new skills for the future, I find that I work best with those open to self-reflection in order to create long lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and stress. By working together, we’ll break the cycle of negative thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practical tools for managing stress, improving mood, and building healthier habits.

Motivational Interviewing

You’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to help guide you toward practical solutions that work for you. No one changes because they’re told to. I’ll help you tap into what really matters to you—whether it’s your goals, your values, or your inner motivation. By using motive interviewing, we’ll work on developing practical skills that you can use in real-time to help you stay cool when things feel out of control.

Trauma Informed Care

I use Trauma-Informed Care to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, safe, and empowered to heal at your own pace. My approach focuses on empowering you to take control of your healing, using your strengths and resilience to move forward. I also use techniques like mindfulness and grounding to help you stay present and manage tough emotions.
