About me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should be a space where you can be your authentic self—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out. My approach is warm, honest, person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I use evidence-based interventions while recognizing that your lived experience matters just as much as what a textbook says. I believe therapy isn’t about simply teaching coping skills; it’s about understanding yourself, recognizing patterns, processing your experiences, building healthier relationships, and learning how to advocate for yourself. As your therapist, I’ll listen, support, encourage, and celebrate your growth—but I’ll also challenge you when necessary. I believe accountability and compassion can coexist. I’m not here to tell you what you want to hear; I’m here to help you understand what you need to hear and empower you to make meaningful changes. My own lived experiences have shaped the way I understand resilience, family dynamics, relationships, personal growth, and navigating life’s transitions. They have taught me the importance of feeling genuinely heard and having someone who can meet you where you are while still believing in where you can go. I especially enjoy working with youth, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, emotional challenges, self-esteem, relationships, family conflict, life transitions, and feeling “stuck.” You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You just have to be willing to start. My goal is to help you feel seen, understood, empowered, and equipped to create the life you want.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with people and build genuine relationships. I work to meet clients where they are rather than making assumptions about where they “should” be. My lived experiences have also shaped my ability to recognize how culture, environment, family dynamics, and access to resources can influence a person’s mental health and overall well-being. I bring a strengths-based perspective to my work. I look beyond the challenges and behaviors presented in the room and help clients identify the resilience, abilities, and experiences they already possess. I’m also direct and solution-focused when appropriate. I believe clients deserve honesty, not judgment. I will celebrate your progress, sit with you through difficult moments, and respectfully challenge you when something may be keeping you stuck. Most importantly, I bring genuine care. I don’t believe therapy is about “fixing” people. I believe it’s about creating a safe space where clients can feel heard, develop insight, build confidence, and learn how to create meaningful change. My goal is for every client to leave a session feeling seen, understood, empowered, and equipped with something they can take with them beyond the therapy room.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an evidence-based approach to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, explore how those thoughts may influence their emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier ways of responding to challenging situations. In sessions, I may help clients recognize cognitive distortions, challenge negative or unrealistic thoughts, develop healthier self-talk, and practice coping skills. I tailor CBT to each client’s individual needs, age, experiences, and goals. With youth, I often make CBT more interactive and relatable by using real-life situations, activities, and practical coping strategies. With adults, I may focus more on identifying patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, or difficulty managing emotions.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy is one of my favorite therapeutic approaches because it allows children to communicate and process emotions in a way that feels natural to them. I believe children often communicate through play before they have the words or emotional development to fully explain what they are experiencing.
