Hi! I'm a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) with a clinical focus based in Michigan. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California and have been practicing in a variety of settings for nearly 11 years. I enjoy helping adults of any age work through challenging areas of their life, whether it be a trauma from the past or feeling overwhelmed by juggling everyday responsibilities, so they can feel like the best versions of themselves and continue their story in a way that serves them.
In our first session together, we will start with introductions and then see where it goes from there! If you come in knowing exactly what you need to talk about, we can dive right in! And if you don't, I'll spend some time getting to know you and we will figure out the next best steps are from there.
Having worked in a variety of settings and with a vast array of people from all walks of life, I've developed numerous approaches to therapy and am confident in my ability to team with my clients to determine the best plan for each individual, so they get what they want out of our therapy sessions. I come into sessions very authentically in hopes that I can bring the best outcome to each person I work with.
I use a very eclectic approach to therapy, tailoring our sessions to what my client needs at the time. It may be a mix of motivational interviewing, CBT, psychoeducation, skills training (e.g., coping skills, how to set boundaries, etc) or providing a safe space to process some things in your life with as little or as much feedback as you need.
Providing trauma informed care is very important in my practice and I do everything I can to provide you with the care you deserve when processing your trauma. I’ve also been trained in and provided Written Exposure Therapy to a range of populations as a means to treat PTSD since 2021.
