As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am committed to providing a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I work with adults, young adults, individuals, and couples who may be navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, and other personal difficulties. My approach is grounded in the belief that each person possesses unique strengths and resilience, and therapy can serve as a valuable space to develop insight, build coping skills, and move toward personal growth and emotional well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they have the opportunity to share their story and discuss what has brought them to therapy. We will review current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals for treatment, while also exploring what clients hope to gain from the therapeutic process. The first session is designed to help build a strong therapeutic relationship, answer any questions about therapy, and begin identifying meaningful areas for growth and change. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring that clients leave the session with a better understanding of the therapy process and a clear sense of how we can work together toward their goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I bring empathy, authenticity, and a genuine commitment to helping clients feel seen, heard, and understood. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. My approach balances compassion with practical, evidence-based interventions, allowing clients to gain insight while developing meaningful skills to navigate life's challenges. I value collaboration and work alongside clients to identify their strengths, build resilience, and create achievable goals that align with their values and aspirations. I also bring flexibility and adaptability to the therapeutic process, recognizing that every client and relationship is unique. By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), the Gottman Method, and a Strengths-Based perspective, I tailor treatment to meet each client's specific needs and goals. Whether working with individuals, young adults, or couples, I focus on fostering self-awareness, emotional growth, healthier relationships, and lasting change through a thoughtful, personalized approach to care. My clients often benefit from my ability to balance validation and support with gentle challenge and accountability. I believe meaningful growth occurs when clients feel both accepted for who they are and empowered to move toward who they want to become. By helping clients recognize their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and gain confidence in their ability to navigate difficulties, I aim to create a therapeutic experience that is both encouraging and transformative.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal individual client is an adult or young adult who is seeking greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and personal growth. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, or challenges related to navigating work, family, or identity. Whether they are new to therapy or have engaged in counseling before, they are motivated to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change in their lives. I enjoy working with clients who are open to exploring their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and values in a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment. My ideal couples therapy clients are partners who are committed to strengthening their relationship and improving their connection, even if they are currently experiencing conflict, communication difficulties, trust concerns, life stressors, or feelings of disconnection. I work well with couples who are willing to engage in the therapeutic process, develop greater understanding of one another's perspectives, and learn practical skills to navigate challenges more effectively. Whether a couple is seeking to rebuild trust, improve communication, deepen emotional intimacy, or proactively strengthen an already healthy relationship, I provide a supportive space where both partners can feel heard, respected, and empowered to create a stronger and more fulfilling partnership.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through CBT, clients learn to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative or distorted beliefs, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of responding to life's challenges. This approach is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented, providing clients with tools and strategies they can apply in their daily lives to reduce symptoms, improve coping skills, and support lasting emotional and behavioral change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility and build a more meaningful life aligned with their values. Through ACT, clients learn to respond differently to difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences by practicing acceptance, mindfulness, and self-compassion rather than struggling against them. This approach helps clients increase awareness of the present moment, clarify what matters most to them, and take purposeful action toward their goals, even in the presence of discomfort, uncertainty, or emotional challenges.

Gottman method

I utilize the Gottman Method when working with couples to help strengthen relationships through evidence-based strategies that enhance communication, trust, and emotional connection. This approach helps partners identify and reduce negative interaction patterns, improve conflict management skills, and deepen their understanding of one another's needs and experiences. Through Gottman-informed interventions, couples learn practical tools to foster healthier communication, increase emotional intimacy, and build a stronger, more resilient relationship foundation.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and focus on practical solutions rather than becoming overwhelmed by problems. This approach emphasizes what is working well, explores previous successes, and encourages clients to envision their preferred future. Through collaborative conversations and goal-oriented strategies, clients develop actionable steps that build confidence, promote positive change, and support progress toward meaningful and achievable outcomes.

Strength-Based

I utilize a Strengths-Based approach to help clients recognize, build upon, and leverage their existing abilities, resources, and resilience. Rather than focusing solely on challenges or deficits, this approach emphasizes identifying personal strengths, past successes, and sources of support that can be used to navigate current difficulties. By fostering self-awareness, confidence, and empowerment, clients are encouraged to view themselves as capable of growth and change while developing practical strategies to achieve their goals and improve overall well-being.
