Greetings and welcome! I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with over 25 years of experience working with diverse populations. I graduated with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship/communication issues, marital conflict, singleness, grief/loss, anger management, low self-esteem, trauma, and spiritual concerns. I served as an adjunct professor for many years, teaching psychology and counseling at the graduate level. For seven years, I worked at a university counseling center providing therapy to both graduate and undergraduate students. I am passionate about helping others discover greater joy and peace in this life that can be so challenging at times, and yet so rewarding. I love working with adults who are ready to explore the possibility of growth and change in their lives. It takes great courage to take this first step, but you are not alone. I look forward to the privilege of working with you!
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions. I will answer/clarify any questions you might have about the therapy process, goals, and expectations.
My greatest areas of strength and focus include: Anxiety and Depression, Coping with life changes, Communication Problems, Family/Marital conflict, Forgiveness, Guilt and Shame, Low self-worth, Singleness, and Spiritual Issues. I educate and empower my clients with the tools necessary to manage, fight and overcome some of life's heavy burdens and patterns of dealing with problems that just aren't working for them.
