I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience providing care to adults, couples and adolescents. I have a wide variety of clinical specialties but find that the therapeutic relationship is the most essential part of therapy. I feel it is important for clients to feel safe, heard and respected. Therapy is collaborative and I am here to provide resources and evidenced based interventions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, and I will answer any questions you have about my credentials and background. We will then explore your hopes for therapy and any specific challenges you're facing. Together we will create a treatment plan that addresses your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Empathy and compassion drive my work and I feel my years of experience have contributed to my knowledge of specific interventions and resources for a wide variety of mental health challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is an highly effective and evidenced-based approach for managing mood and anxiety disorders.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT can be especially helpful for mood disorders and is a good match for clients who want to expand their skills with managing stressful situations and interpersonal conflicts.

Couples Counseling

I use a wide variety of approaches with couples but I especially appreciate the Gottman Institute's approach to couple's work.

Gender-affirming therapy

Culturally competent care is essential. I am certified in LGBTIA+ affirming psychotherapy through the AAMFT.
