Hi! I am a person-centered clinician who shows up in the therapy room as my genuine self. I create a non-judgmental and empathetic space where clients are free to show up authentically as themselves. I don't have all the answers (I'm trying to figure out life, too.) It is an honor to be alongside people while they figure out their own journey through life's ups and downs. I also utilize art, music, and drama in session. I enjoy using humor as a therapeutic tool with my clients.
During the first session, I spend time getting to know the client. I learn about their interests. I also take time to understand what they want to get out of therapy. We formulate a plan together on how to achieve their goals.
I am creative. I think outside-of-the-box. I have been told by past clients that they can just be themselves with me. I accept all of their emotions, and they can "let it out" during therapy. I also utilize art, music, and drama to help clients process experiences/emotions that cannot be put into words.
I meet the client where they are at. I believe in providing a non-judgmental, empathetic space for my clients to process their feelings.
Mindfulness brings awareness to the present moment. It can help clients understand themselves better.
EMDR helps people process traumatic memories, reduce distress, and promote adaptive coping mechanisms for individuals experiencing trauma-related symptoms.
Play is the language of children. Play therapy allows children to process their emotions and explore their inner world.
