My treatment methods

Strength-Based

My therapeutic style mixes both a solution and strengths-based approach with coping tools tailored to your unique needs or situation. My goal is to support you in navigating life's challenges by offering practical strategies to manage emotions, enhance relationships, and thrive going forward.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is grounded in mindfulness, acceptance, and behavior change techniques, and is rooted in the understanding that human suffering often arises from our attempts to avoid or control uncomfortable experiences, which can actually make them worse in the long run.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my primary goal would be to help clients understand and change the patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to their emotional distress. CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected, and by identifying and modifying negative or distorted thoughts, we can change how we feel and act.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a client-centered, collaborative approach to help individuals explore and resolve ambivalence about change. MI is particularly effective when clients feel stuck or unsure about making a decision, whether it’s related to behaviors like substance use, health issues, or lifestyle changes. Rather than directing the client toward a specific course of action, MI respects their autonomy, helping them uncover their own motivations and reasons for change.
