LCSW, 25 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello! Welcome I am so glad you have found me. I know entering into counseling is a tough decision and can require some inner work, but I am here to guide you and support you on your healing journey without judgment and with total acceptance and positive warm regard. People and clients tell me they appreciate my down to earth approach and energy as well as my empowerment perspective. I enjoy helping clients navigate their symptoms with neuro-nutrient therapy (alternatives to medications and anti-depressants), nutrition and the mind-body perspective as there are natural ways to help support mental health and I can help you if this approach aligns.
The first session you can expect you and I getting to know one another and starting the process of building trust and transparency. I realize as a trauma survivor that trust takes time so there is no rush, it will happen over time and with consistency in meetings. I will hold space for you to be your authentic self and encourage you that change is possible and that you can become the best version of yourself in our work together.
My greatest strengths are my holistic approach to therapy- as there is no "one size fits all" approach to therapy. Because I have 25 years of experience as a therapist I have developed my intuition and can sense what is needed in the session. Also, I am a huge animal lover and have a therapy dog that joins the sessions and helps to support in person clients. I am down to earth, warm, approachable and always encouraging of your inner healing intelligence.
I consider myself a holistic psychotherapist and use many different modalities to heal trauma, anxiety, depression, marital issues, grief and loss, childhood abuse issues, addiction or growing up with an addict or in relationship with an addict, or LGBTQ+ issues as I am allied with this community. I am a good fit for someone who is open to a holistic approach to therapy. I like to take into account not just your symptoms but you as a whole person including our mindset, brain chemistry, family, nutrition, and social support. My main passion the last seven years has been psychedelic-assisted therapy where I help people address trauma and heal on the subconscious level so that they can make practical changes in their life that are positive.
I have experience with grief and loss and use this method to help clients navigate through loss and childhood trauma which can cause grief due to unmet needs as a child.
I am trained in hypnotherapy and the wise mind method of healing.
I enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ community and am allied -I enjoy working with any issues that come up with compassion and acceptance so that clients feel empowered.
I have training in EMDR but primarily use EFT tapping as a wonderful mind-body technique which helps release core beliefs and emotions from the body and mind to help clients feel more peace and acceptance.
I enjoy helping clients with acceptance and commitment to their growth and healing.
