Hi, I’m Betsy! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m an intuitive psychotherapist, expressive arts facilitator, and artist. YOU are here for a reason and being called to pay attention to a deep desire or need in your life. Perhaps it’s healing an old wound, addressing a challenge, expressing yourself, or learning to listen to your inner voice. I’ve been there and can help serve as a guide on your journey! I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back on track. We'll use a holistic approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body, and soul. I also integrate guided meditation, intention setting, intuitive art making, creative visualization, and therapeutic writing to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself. Intuitive development and guidance are also provided upon request. Whether you're dealing with mental health concerns, or relationship issues, or interested in creative ways to develop a better relationship with your inner voice (aka - your intuition), I'm here to help! Seeking therapy can be scary, but you're making the right choice. YOU deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and provide techniques to help you overcome barriers holding you back. Let's work together!
During our initial session, we'll delve deeply into the root issue, listen to your unmet needs, and create a plan for moving forward. I follow the five stages of the creative process that are rooted in my Appalachian teachings. For more information about, "what happens in a session?", check out my website to learn more: https://www.betsyfilli.com. Most clients regain clarity and a sense of control by taking action toward their desired outcomes and goals within the first 1-6 sessions.
My approach to expressive arts facilitation and psychotherapy is intuitive, collaborative, and person-centered. I integrate my teachings from expressive arts therapy school, along with my meditation and spiritual practices. A typical session is a blend of breathing techniques, deep discussion, art-making prompts (with or without music), therapeutic writing, oracle cards, and poetry. I also work with additional modalities: breathwork, guided meditation, intention setting, painting, collaging, drawing, and dreamwork.
My biggest strengths are helping you to find the light within yourself again, encouraging you to trust that still and small voice that is speaking to you, and inspiring you to take action on your wildest dreams!
