Do you find yourself overthinking, trying to please everyone, or worried about what someone else will think, causing you to feel stressed, anxious or even doubting yourself? Maybe you're a parent who struggles with getting your child to go to school, or overwhelmed with letters home saying your child has "behavior concerns?" Maybe your child also experiences anxiety or low self-esteem? I want you to know you're not alone and I can help. I help you to recognize the strengths you already possess and help you feel empowered and in control, to overcome the burden of anxiety, and face the future with confidence. Together we can find balance by integrating a whole self-approach using mindfulness as well as cognitive behavioral techniques, yoga, and art. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or doubting yourself, I offer a safe, supportive, and compassionate space for individuals and families of all ages to explore and heal from life's challenges. I'll be with you every step of the way to remind you how strong you are. Being vulnerable is scary and it can be overwhelming but I promise to be there for you and help you. You won't have to face your challenges alone.
In our first session, we build the relationship and get to know each other before looking at what brings you to therapy and what it is you would like to work on.
In sessions I will utilize a cognitive behavioral approach as well as mindfulness, yoga, and art therapy. I want you to be in control of the sessions so I empower you to guide them because no one knows you better than you do.
Empowering individuals and families to feel confident, to recognize the strengths they possess, to love who they see when they look at themselves in the mirror is what I'm here for. I want to give you the tools you need to wake up every morning to say "I got this" or to love yourself and be proud of yourself for who you are and what you have accomplished. I offer the same for children, teens, and young adults. School and peers can be intimidating. I want to give them the tools they need to feel confident in going to school, to know they are not alone or judged and to love themselves. I want to give them the confidence they need to not give up on themselves just because someone makes them feel bad.
