Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Nashville, TN. I received my Masters from Boston University and have been practicing for over 15 years. I specialize in supporting adults who are navigating the often overwhelming landscape of life transitions. While transitions can be challenging, they are also opportunities for progress and growth. Whether you are facing a career change or experiencing a shift in identity or relationships, I provide a safe space to explore these changes together and develop coping techniques to manage difficult symptoms that can arise during these pivotal moments.
The purpose of our first session is to explore the challenges you are experiencing and identify your goals. We will work together to develop a plan that is tailored to your needs and will help you achieve your goals.
I use a collaborative approach to create a supportive space where you can feel comfortable exploring what is getting in the way of reaching your goals. Inclusion and respect for all are central to my practice and I recognize the impact of race, gender, culture and other forms of identity on mental health.
I work with adults who are in need of support while coping with major life changes including divorce and loss.
I have used CBT in my social work practice for over 10 years. This approach has helped many clients identify and change unproductive thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We will use CBT to identify negative thoughts that contribute to unwanted behaviors. We will then work together to change these negative thought and behavior patterns so you can experience a better quality of life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy helps to improve your awareness of thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations in a way that is non-judgmental. We will use this treatment in combination with CBT to increase your self-awareness, build coping skills and help reduce the symptoms you are experiencing.
