Greetings! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in Illinois. With a Master's from The Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago, I bring 9 years of social work experience, including 7 years in private practice. My therapeutic approach focuses on addressing the root causes of symptoms, empowering clients to live fulfilling lives free from mental health concerns. I'm dedicated to achieving lasting healing for many common disorders.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session, I prioritize understanding my clients' unique backgrounds and needs. We delve into their therapy goals, key life experiences, relationships, physical health, and cultural values. By exploring these aspects, I aim to foster a comprehensive understanding of my clients, recognizing how various factors influence their mental and emotional wellness. Together, we'll establish the frequency of sessions and address logistical details to ensure a seamless therapeutic journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest asset lies in my empathy, allowing me to grasp experiences beyond my own. A client once expressed that I articulated what they couldn't. I excel in creating a compassionate, non-judgmental environment that welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs, irrespective of alignment with my own.

My treatment methods

Brainspotting

I use this treatment as a tool to help clients process emotions that they do not have clear and rational explanation for or conscious connection to any known experiences.

Somatic

I use this treatment in conjunction with mindfulness training to help clients understand the impact of their life experiences on their emotions and consequently on their body as expressed through different body sensations connected with said emotions in order to then be able to more easily repattern themselves for more wellbeing and symptom reduction.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this treatment as a basis for all of my work in helping client to identify patterns of thinking and beliefs that are no longer serving them and are causing symptoms of mental illness and give clients a concrete strategy to reframe, manage, and rid themselves of those thoughts and beliefs.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use this treatment with clients who have had trauma in their life to help them manage intensity of emotions related to the trauma while being able to gain insight and create a new emotional landscape around the trauma.

Integrative

I use this treatment as an umbrella category for utilizing evidence-based and individualized tools from other modalities to further target treatment for my clients as appropriate. I use tools from energy psychology (such as EFT Tapping), NLP, hypnotherapy, memory reconciliation, meditation and breathwork, sound frequencies, as well as education about natural and holistic health options.
