Hello my name is Larry and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, an Ordained Minister, and a retired Marine. I take a holistic approach to therapy. I incorporate Biblical counseling for those clients who prefer to have those types of services. I also do art therapy. Art has its own ways of helping clients to express their feelings and emotions. Communicating without words is a powerful healing process.
In the first initial assessment the session last 90 minutes. During this process I want to address the presenting problem and access how you have tried to work on or fix it in the past. Rapport is established to see if we are a good fit for one another. I want to provide the best therapeutic services possible.
I use a strength-based perspective. I believe that client plays an important role in their healing and recovery. I'm transparent, authentic, and empowering.
My ideal client are those who are motivated for change. Those struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, job loss, life transition, trauma, couples experiencing relationship distress, individuals dealing with faith issues, spiritual issues, family stressors, career changes, attachment issues, men's issues, need mentorship, mental health professionals , first responders and Veterns.
I have seen how clients have healed and recover from anxiety and depression through Christian Counseling.
I help clients who struggle with overwhelming thoughts, fear, and anxiety through cognitive behavior therapy by using cognitive restructuring.
I work with couples who are married or engaged. I use an online assessment called Prepare and Enrich. Whatever your relationship struggles are we will address them. I also help clients to strengthen an already strong and healthy relationship.
I empower clients to find solutions to problems already identified. 10-12 sessions.
Through Bibical Counseling I help clients through the Word of God find hope and healing.
