As a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner, I have over 17 years of experience in the healthcare field. My practice offers mental health education and medication (if desired) for each patient based on your unique needs. If your goal does not include medication, no worries. I believe in a holistic approach to mental wellness, including education to improve daily life and overall wellness.
During our first session, my primary focus is to listen to your needs and goals in order to provide the best care for you. I understand that rapport and trust are built over time. I will ensure a safe space for you to start or continue your mental health journey.
I take time to listen and truly understand my patients. I do not rush education, diagnosis, or medication management. I also believe in treating patients holistically with all aspects of wellbeing in mind.
I have vast experience in numerous fields of mental health. My areas of expertise include the treatment of depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder in adult and elderly patients. My practice is inclusive and welcoming to all patients regardless of race, sex, gender, religion, nationality, or sexual preference. *** I DO NOT PRESCRIBE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES: These include stimulants (Adderall, Concerta, Vyvanse, Ritalin, etc.), benzodiazepines (Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, etc.), and sedative/hypnotics (Ambien, Lunesta, etc.) I only prescribe non-controlled medications for ADHD, anxiety, and insomnia. *** I DO NOT PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SERVICES: disability/FMLA/SSI, work/school accommodations and leaves, ESA/service animal letters, medical/surgical clearance, workers' compensation, other forms such as court, housing, capacity, DMV, FAA, fit for duty, travel, military.
