LMHC, 14 years of experience
I have been doing counseling for over 10 years where I have felt very fortunate to do what I love. I enjoy helping others feel supported and empowered on their journey toward healing. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but draw from many different modalities in treatment. My approach has always been very Humanistic offering an empathic and non-judgemental environment.
Our first session will be going over what is bringing you into session, what are your hopes and how I may be able to potentially help you in your journey. I hope to offer a supportive environment where you feel safe. If I am not a good fit for any reason, we can discuss alternative options to help you on your journey.
My greatest strength has been showing up in a genuine and compassionate way where my clients feel safe and supported.
We all have times that can be hard and can lead to feeling stuck and/or isolating. My goal is to empower my clients to feel hope and know they are not alone. My hope is that during our time together, you will feel safe and explore new paths of coping to support the life you want to live.
We will work together to explore patterns of thoughts that may be impacting your day to day functioning. Together, we will work to support healing and reframing to enhance your quality of life.
I like to draw from different counseling theories that may offer useful tools in our time together to meet your counseling needs. I always welcome feedback if something is working or not working to better support you!
It is important for me that my clients feel safe and supported in session. I strive to build a relationship of trust where you will feel comfortable. I will offer an empathic, empowering and a non-judgemental environment for you.
At times, it can feel easy to be stuck and even, afraid of change. I draw from Motivational Interviewing to help you explore some of these areas and use tools to hopefully afford opportunities to feel motivated and inspired toward positive change.
