I am a dedicated social worker with a passion for enhancing the lives of those around me. I have more than 15 years in the behavioral health system and thoroughly enjoy my lot in life as a "people person". I am committed to supporting individuals through life’s challenges by fostering growth, resilience, and meaningful change. My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a genuine desire to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In a first therapy appointment with me, my focus is on creating a welcoming, comfortable space where you can feel at ease. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brings you in, and discussing what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and strengths, while also giving you space to share at your own pace. Building rapport is an important part of this process, so I prioritize a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach that helps you feel safe, heard, and supported from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist include my open mind and nonjudgmental perspective, which allow me to meet each client exactly where they are. I bring a depth of experience that helps me thoughtfully navigate a wide range of concerns, while maintaining a warm, welcoming presence that supports comfort and trust. I also take a holistic, mind-body approach, recognizing the connection between emotional and physical well-being and integrating this understanding into the work we do together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with individuals by providing a supportive, collaborative space to explore life challenges, emotional concerns, and patterns that may be impacting overall well-being. I tailor my approach to each individual, drawing from evidence-based practices to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. My focus is on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and supporting clients in creating meaningful, sustainable change in their lives. My ideal client is one who is motivated to explore and open to the experience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by helping clients identify the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we look for unhelpful thinking patterns and gently challenge or reframe them into more balanced perspectives. I also support clients in developing practical coping strategies and behavioral changes they can use in their daily lives to improve mood and functioning.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use emotionally focused approaches by helping clients identify, experience, and make sense of their core emotions, especially those connected to attachment and relationships. I create a safe space where they can explore vulnerable feelings and understand how these emotions shape their interactions with others. Together, we work to strengthen emotional awareness, foster secure connections, and develop new, healthier ways of relating.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use solution-focused therapy by helping clients identify their strengths, resources, and past successes rather than focusing only on problems. Together, we set clear, achievable goals and explore practical steps toward change, often using techniques like scaling questions and the “miracle question” to clarify what progress looks like. I support clients in building on what’s already working so they can create meaningful, sustainable improvements in their daily lives.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) by helping clients explore and understand the different “parts” of themselves and the roles those parts play in their lives. Together, we build awareness of how protective parts and wounded parts interact, while cultivating a sense of calm, compassionate Self-leadership. I support clients in healing internal wounds and creating more balance and harmony within their internal system.

Interpersonal

I use interpersonal theories by helping clients explore how their relationships and social interactions impact their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns in communication, attachment, and relational roles, and how these may contribute to current challenges. I support clients in building healthier ways of relating, improving communication skills, and strengthening meaningful connections in their lives.
