New to Grow
I am a therapist who provides a supportive, collaborative space for clients to explore challenges, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change in their lives. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including solution-focused and strengths-based interventions. I aim to help clients feel understood while also empowering them to identify goals, develop insight, and take practical steps toward improved emotional well-being and resilience.
In your first session with me, you can expect a calm, supportive space where we begin getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to get out of treatment, but there’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready. We’ll also start identifying your goals and what feeling better might look like for you. Most importantly, the first session is about building comfort and connection so we can decide together how to move forward in a way that feels helpful and manageable for you.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is its balance of practicality and depth. I draw from strengths-based and solution-focused frameworks to help clients quickly identify what is already working, build on their resilience, and create manageable steps toward change. At the same time, I integrate space for deeper emotional processing when needed, particularly around trauma, anxiety, and relational patterns. Clients often notice that therapy feels collaborative, grounded, and focused on real-life application rather than just insight. My goal is to help people not only understand their experiences, but also translate that understanding into meaningful shifts in daily life, whether that’s improved emotional regulation, stronger boundaries, or increased self-trust. Many clients experience early gains in clarity, confidence, and hope as they begin to recognize their capacity for change.
My ideal client is someone who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their sense of self, yet is open to exploring change and building a more fulfilling life. They may be navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, or difficult relationship dynamics, and are seeking a space where they feel seen, supported, and empowered. I work best with clients who are willing to engage in reflection, identify their strengths, and take small, meaningful steps toward their goals, even if they are unsure where to begin.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
In my practice, I use this approach by allowing clients to guide the pace and focus of sessions, trusting their innate capacity for growth and self-actualization. I incorporate reflective listening, gentle paraphrasing, and emotional validation to help clients clarify their experiences and access their own solutions.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
In practice, I integrate SFBT as both a primary modality and as a complementary framework alongside other approaches. It is particularly effective with clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged, as it shifts the focus toward possibility and forward movement. I maintain a stance of curiosity, collaboration, and respect for the client’s expertise in their own life, while guiding them to set concrete, achievable goals.
