New to Grow
Hi, I’m Andriana Duran, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing virtual therapy for adolescents and adults throughout Texas. I specialize in supporting individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life-related stressors through a compassionate, trauma-informed approach. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I tailor each session to your unique needs while incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to support healing, resilience, and personal growth.
During your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore your background, current concerns, and goals for treatment in a supportive and nonjudgmental space. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what you hope to gain from therapy, and begin building a comfortable therapeutic connection at your own pace.
My ability to create a safe, supportive, and genuine space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I take a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, meaning I tailor therapy to each client’s unique experiences, needs, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients better understand patterns, process trauma, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies. Clients often describe me as compassionate, grounded, and easy to talk to, which helps foster trust and meaningful therapeutic progress. My goal is to help clients feel more empowered, resilient, and connected to themselves as they move toward lasting healing and personal growth.
I am best positioned to support adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, dissociation, life transitions, and relationship-related concerns. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or disconnected from themselves and others. I work especially well with individuals seeking a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to process difficult experiences, better understand themselves, and develop healthier coping strategies. My experience includes supporting survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and emotional abuse, as well as providing affirming care to members of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, allowing me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and create meaningful, lasting change. Clients who are motivated toward healing, open to self-exploration, and seeking support in a compassionate environment tend to benefit most from my therapeutic style.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using CBT in inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, dissociation, and adjustment concerns. I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, develop coping skills, and build healthier behaviors that support long-term wellness.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I have utilized CPT primarily with individuals experiencing trauma and PTSD, including survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Through CPT, I help clients process traumatic experiences, challenge trauma-related beliefs, and reduce symptoms associated with PTSD. My experience includes implementing CPT interventions during both my internship and professional counseling roles.
Trauma Informed Care
My clinical approach is grounded in trauma-informed care across all treatment settings. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered and respected. I incorporate trauma-informed principles by recognizing the impact of trauma on emotional and behavioral functioning while tailoring treatment to meet each client’s individual needs and pace of healing.
