(she/her)
I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LMSW) with a Master's degree from Spring Arbor University and a certification in school social work. With over seven years of experience in the mental health field, I currently serve as a high school social worker and provide therapy in private practice. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for your unique journey. I'm passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and uncover meaningful paths toward healing, self-awareness, and fulfillment. I use a client-centered, strengths-based approach that integrates evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies. I tailor our work to your specific needs and goals-whether you're managing anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck. In therapy, I focus on helping you regain a sense of control and agency. You'll find a warm, non-judgmental space where your voice is heard and valued. Together, we'll explore what's holding you back and work toward creating a life that feels more balanced and purposeful.
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment. We'll start by building rapport and exploring what brought you to therapy. I'll guide you through a psychosocial assessment to better understand your background, strengths, and current challenges. We'll also set initial goals for therapy, and I'll walk you through important information about confidentiality, session structure, and what you can expect from the process. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and empowered to begin your journey toward growth and healing.
Clients often tell me they feel truly seen and understood in our work together. They appreciate my down-to-earth, authentic approach and the safe, supportive space I create. I bring deep empathy, active listening, and a calm, kind presence into each session. I approach therapy with curiosity and compassion—not judgment. I am solution-focused and deeply committed to helping clients build on their existing strengths to make meaningful changes. Whether you're working through a specific issue or exploring larger life patterns, I’ll meet you where you are and walk beside you as you move forward.
I work with teens (13+), adults, and women navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and intrusive or ruminating thoughts. I also support individuals facing life transitions, relationship challenges, and career-related stress with compassion and practical tools for lasting change. For women seeking to reconnect with themselves—whether through healing, self-discovery, or redefining balance—I offer a supportive and empowering space to explore identity, confidence, and personal growth. I specialize in helping couples strengthen their connection and rebuild trust through open communication, empathy, and evidence-based approaches. My style is collaborative and nonjudgmental, creating space for both partners to feel heard, understood, and supported through challenges like conflict, disconnection, or infidelity. With a background as a high school social worker, I also bring expertise in supporting adolescents facing academic pressure, self-doubt, social stress, and emotional regulation difficulties.
I love using CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together we work on identifying cognitive distortions and learning how to challenge those negative thinking patterns. CBT is empowering to see how your thoughts influence your feelings and actions, and to learn how to shift those patterns for a more positive outcome.
I use Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgment. By cultivating this non-reactive awareness, can you learn to observe your experiences without getting caught up in automatic or unhelpful reactions. Mindfulness-Based Therapy can be particularly useful for managing stress, anxiety, and depression. You learn to break the cycle of ruminating on the past or about the future and reduces the power of these thoughts and emotions over time.
I will integrate Christian based counseling for clients who desire to integrate psychological principles with Christian beliefs and values. Christian Counseling aims to address emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs in a way that aligns with their Christian faith.
As a Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) therapist, my primary goal is to help you identify and build on your existing strengths and resources to achieve your desired outcomes. I focus on solutions rather than problems, guiding you to envision your preferred future and develop actionable steps to reach it.
