Hi! I’m Jessica Ojeda, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I have been practicing for 13 years providing psychotherapy and group services in English and Spanish. I work with adolescents and adults specializing in mental health and/or co- occurring disorders. My goal for you is to work in a collaborative manner to increase your self-awareness and develop healthy coping skills, problem solving capabilities while using and developing your personal strengths. When I’m not providing therapy, you can find me spending time with family, traveling, or outdoors. I enjoy exercising and being in nature as it helps me recharge.
During the initial session, we will review consent forms and gather history, symptoms, and behaviors/challenges that are affecting your quality of life. Together, we will identify treatment goals that you will be working on in follow up sessions.
I've worked in low socioeconomic communities for 10+ years providing therapy and substance use services to adolescents and adults in English and Spanish and can relate to the many struggles within those communities.
I enjoy working with young adults who are going through the many life transitions many experience. Coming from a Hispanic background, I can relate to the many challenges the second and higher generations experience.
