Hello! My name is Anna Bryant, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting young women navigating life transitions, anxiety, ADHD, and OCD. My practice is built on the framework of a strong therapeutic relationship, which is the foundation of personal and effective therapy. I blend approaches from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices to fit the needs of each client I work with. Having walked through various life shifts myself, I understand that the path to wellness isn't linear, and it's not a race. My mission is to empower you with the tools to manage your mental health while helping you to understand yourself on a deeper level.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session my goal is to get to know you, learn what brings you to therapy, and understand how I can best support you. We will explore different areas of your life (family, relationships, career, etc) so I can get the most comprehensive understanding of who you are and what has shaped your life. The first session is also a great time to ask questions, and to ensure that you understand and feel comfortable with the therapy process and working with me.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I use an eclectic therapeutic approach, which means that if one approach doesn't work for you, we will pivot to find the best treatment approach. I typically blend approaches from various therapeutic interventions, because each person is unique, and there isn't a one size fits all! That being said, my framework generally includes addressing thoughts, and how this impacts the way you feel and behave, as well as exploring your values in life, and if your actions are aligning with these values. I also believe that it's important to add an element of mindfulness to sessions, so that we can address any somatic symptoms or experiences as well! Throughout the therapy process, please ask questions, and don't be afraid to let me know if an approach or treatment isn't working for you, or is confusing! I think it's so important to demystify therapy, and for you as the client to work in collaboration with me, as you are the expert on yourself and your life!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Being in your 20’s can feel like a whirlwind, especially as women. Some friends are getting married and having children, while others are still in school, changing careers, or partying every weekend. It can be hard to know where you fit in, and what you should be doing with your life. It's common to feel anxious, stressed, uncertain, or depressed while navigating the challenges of this time, and I understand what this exciting, yet stressful period of life can be like. I value working with young women to navigate through their unique experiences and challenges, and to bring clarity and direction to this time of life. I aim to build a collaborative relationship with clients. You are the expert on your own life, and I'm here to foster exploration, increased insight, and practical tools and action you can take to make changes in your life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help clients gain greater insight and compassion towards themselves. By assessing thought patterns, clients are able to address feelings and behaviors that are leaving them feeling stuck or distressed.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I love using mindfulness practices to help clients connect more with their body and somatic experiences/symptoms. These tools are grounding and effectives to address many common concerns such as anxiety, panic, and stress.
