Hello! My name is Gabriel Jeu, and I completed my education at The Ohio State University before working in community mental health for 5+ years in the Cleveland, Ohio area, where I gained an incredible variety of experience and expertise working clients with mental health problems of all kinds and from all backgrounds. From non-functional individuals suffering from severe schizophrenia, to very highly functional college students and professionals struggling with ADHD and burnout, to foreign refugees from Russia and Syria whose lives were torn apart by war, I have seen it all. That said, I believe no two clients are ever the same, and everyone comes with unique experiences and problems deserving of my full attention and thorough care. I believe in treating the client as a whole person and addressing all unmet health needs to the extent my ability and scope of practice allows, whether this means ruling out physical health conditions or referring to a more specialized provider. Whether you come to me with goals already in mind or need guidance in creating goals to live a more fulfilling life, I'm here for you.
During our first session, I will try to get a detailed history from you about when your current problems with mental health first began, what may have precipitated those problems, and what is currently aggravating or relieving those problems. I will then provide a recommendation in terms of treatment I think is best for you, whether it be medication, therapy, or something else completely. I strongly factor in client preference when it comes to my recommendations.
Though psychopharmacology (treatment with medications), is my primary area of expertise, I don't believe that pills and injections are always the answer. I believe that the pillars of healthy living must include proper sleep, proper eating, proper exercise and proper socialization, and that these are foundational pieces that should be thoroughly evaluated and discussed. For many, even with these pieces in place, struggling with mental health problems still prevents them from reaching their goals, and medication can be necessary.
I'm best positioned to serve clients who are dedicated to the betterment of their mental health and come with an open mind. I enjoy serving those who find themselves burnt out from the demands of day-to-day life whether it be school, work, relationship problems, or something else. I also enjoy serving those who may find themselves, through no fault of their own, alone, isolated and in need of support and encouragement. Full disclosure--I do charge a $75 no-show or late cancellation fee if patients are more than 15 minutes late to their appointment, or if an appointment is cancelled without at least 24 hours notice. Thank you for your time and prompt attendance!
Supportive
I begin by fostering empathy for the client's circumstances, attuning to their emotions, and listen actively without interruption or judgment. I encourage emotional expression through free association or simply verbalizing thoughts. I collaborate with clients to identify coping strategies and affirm and encourage them to help them meet their goals.

He was great! He listens very well. He then carefully considers the circumstances and weighs the options. He is intelligent and direct, yet open minded and highly considers the patients opinions as well. I feel very comfortable and confident with him as my provider.

Gabriel was very helpful, and kind, he listen to and validated everything I was feeling. He wasn't pushy yet was direct with solutions that would work for me. I feel very comfortable with future appointments!

Very understanding of personal situations, and willing to work with you how you need. Very straight forward, direct about his thoughts while still factoring in what youve shared and your own knowledge about yourself. Consistant, willing to share his thoughts while still giving you the option to counter his assessment of the situation. Also, very knowledgeable with the meds how they can affect you or react with other things. Its super helpful as someone who hasn't tried much before.
