New to Grow
Hello, I’m Alecia Denillo, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Elevthera Wellness. I provide a warm, supportive space where adults can explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and insight-oriented, helping clients understand patterns that may be keeping them stuck while developing practical tools for change. I’m especially passionate about working with LGBTQ+ clients, therapists, and individuals navigating family-of-origin dynamics, boundaries, and healing from difficult relationship experiences.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During your first session, we’ll begin with an initial assessment. This involves going through a series of questions that help me better understand your background, current concerns, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, any relevant history, and what you hope to get out of our work together. This session is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapy process so you can feel comfortable and informed moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my approach is the balance between insight and practical tools. I help clients understand the deeper patterns behind their thoughts, emotions, and relationship dynamics—especially those shaped by family-of-origin experiences—while also offering strategies they can apply in everyday life. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative, and many clients appreciate having a space where they feel both supported and gently challenged to grow. Over time, clients often report stronger boundaries, improved relationships, and a greater sense of clarity and self-trust.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with adults who are thoughtful, self-aware, and ready to explore deeper patterns in their lives and relationships. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, difficult family dynamics, or challenges with boundaries and self-worth. I also work closely with LGBTQ+ individuals, therapists, and people impacted by a loved one’s substance use. If you’re someone who tends to reflect deeply, wants to better understand yourself, and is open to building healthier relationships and coping strategies, we may be a great fit.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. In our work together, we gently explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck—such as self-criticism, worry, or negative assumptions—and develop more supportive ways of thinking and responding. CBT offers practical tools that can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, and create meaningful change in daily life and relationships.
