I’m a clinical social worker, combat veteran, and proud spouse of both a service member and a first responder. Based in Texas, I bring eight years of experience supporting individuals living with severe mental illness and navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system. My passion lies in helping people deeply explore their struggles, understand the forces that shape them, and reclaim a sense of control. Through thoughtful exploration and dedicated effort, we can move toward a more authentic and peaceful life.
In our initial sessions, I’ll take the time to get to know you—what’s brought you here and what’s currently weighing on you. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’re facing and what drives your desire for change. These insights will help us shape a personalized plan and set realistic, meaningful goals that align with your values and hopes for the future.
With many years of experience working with individuals living with severe mental illness, I’ve developed a creative, flexible, and patient approach to therapy. I’m trained in evidence-based methods that help us navigate trauma, release stored tension in the body, build self-esteem, and strengthen relationships. My goal is to meet you where you are and guide you toward meaningful and lasting change.
I specialize in working with men who struggle to access and express their emotions. Together, we cultivate emotional fluency, which often leads to stronger relationships and a significant reduction in overall tension. I also support individuals—particularly new parents—who feel they’ve lost their sense of self amid the demands of parenthood, partnership, and daily life. Many of my clients long for peace but feel stuck in roles that no longer align with who they are. I help men and women deepen their capacity for connection in both romantic and platonic relationships. Additionally, I enjoy working with clients on their fitness journeys, helping them identify and reduce the barriers that impact their physical performance and overall well-being.
I acknowledge that trauma impacts our relationships, reaction styles, attachments and that we carry our trauma with us. We will work to manage how we respond to our perceived threats which will improve our quality of life and relationships.
I focus on your innate strengths and build upon them. Your strengths have helped you get this far... they have helped you survive, and we need to honor them.
We can learn about your childhood experiences and how they impact the way you attach in relationships. Often times our attachment style has a huge impact on our relationships with our partners and children. By working through and finding healthier ways to attach, naturally our relationships improve.
Our bodies hold a lot of tension and carry our traumas. We will learn how to listen to our bodies and to use the body to relieve feelings of tension and stress.
We will focus on the things we can control, the present moment and how focusing on the present moment, positively impacts our future and reduces anxiety about the past and future.
