Welcome! My name is Rachel Scales. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. This profession provides me with a plethora of ideal clients. My clients issues are depression, anxiety, communication skills, relational issues, self-esteem, chronic mental health issues, etc. Every client brings a unique story that I will treat in a delicate manner. Your goal is my first concern and my hope is to help you obtain your goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I will be assessing your needs and getting to know you. I hope to create a space where you feel comfortable and are able to be vulnerable. This session will set the tone of where therapy needs to go and me creating a therapeutic plan tailored to your needs. Goals will be established and therapy journey will begin.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Being in the mental health field for 7+ years and working with a variety of clients has equipped me to identify what therapy tool best fits each client. Also, I bring my genuine and authentic self each session.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love clients who have the courage to come to therapy, and motivated to take the steps necessary to grow. My clients are looking to find solutions to their problems, but don't have the tools yet. I am here to help provide the guidance and tools.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution focused therapy to focus on identifying solutions to your problems, and show that the solutions lie within you. Solution focused therapy does not dwell on the problem. Instead, it focuses on how to move solve issues in the present moment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavior therapy focuses on how our thoughts affects our feelings/emotions which affects our behavior. How we perceive events affect how we interact with people in our world. Through healthy thought processes we can interact with others in a healthy way.
