LCSW, 5 years of experience
I believe every child and teen has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive when they feel seen, safe, and understood. My role is to create that space — one built on trust, curiosity, and connection. I view behavior and emotion as communication, not defiance or brokenness. I help clients understand what’s underneath anger, withdrawal, anxiety, or big feelings. My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and developmentally tailored. I believe lasting change happens when children and families feel emotionally safe, genuinely understood, and supported in learning new ways to connect and cope. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all — I adapt my methods to meet each child, teen, and family exactly where they are.
The first session is all about getting to know each other and helping you (and your child or teen) feel comfortable. I know starting therapy can bring up a mix of feelings — curiosity, hope, or even nervousness — so I take things at a gentle pace. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where we can begin building trust and understanding.
As a provider, I employ empathy, adaptability and flexibility, consistency, clear communication, and positive reinforcement skills to build a trusting relationship with parents and equip them with skills to facilitate a secure parent-child bond and decrease behavior issues.
I love working with parents and child(ren). Most children I work with are in the 2-18 age range. The parents I work with are seeking to improve their bond with their child and typically reduce behavior issues.
I am certified in PCIT through PCIT International. I am also working on my Within Agency Trainer certification. I have 5 years of experience in the model with a diverse range of clients. PCIT is an evidenced based practice that improves parent-child bond and decreases behavior problems.
I have utilized MI throughout my 5 years of practice. MI is a collaborative, client centered intervention that illcits positive change.
For 5 years, the focus of my work has been with children and families who have experienced trauma. I will use TIC by utilizing empathy, psycho education, and practical skills.

The only provider that I have come across where I don’t feel like I’m talking to a robot or im forcing myself to be there. I actually enjoy my visits with Madison.
