New to Grow
As a second-career social worker, I bring both professional experience and real-world perspective into the therapy space. My background includes working as an Older Adult Protective Services Investigator, a Home Health Care Social Worker, a mentor to college-aged individuals, and currently supporting Veterans experiencing homelessness who are navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, trauma, and substance use. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. Outside of work, I enjoy playing music, spending time with family and friends, and being in nature. I value practices that help people reconnect with themselves, find balance, and build resilience in ways that feel authentic and sustainable for them.
During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and building a comfortable, supportive space where you can feel heard without judgment. I will invite you to share what brought you to therapy, the challenges you have been experiencing, and the strengths, supports, and coping skills you already have in your life. We will also talk about your goals for therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. The first session is also an opportunity for both of us to determine whether we feel like a good fit to work together moving forward.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a calm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and sharing openly. I am personable, approachable, and believe that feeling safe and understood is an important foundation for meaningful therapy. I actively listen and work collaboratively with clients through thoughtful discussion, reflection, and compassion-focused support to help guide them toward healthier thoughts, beliefs, and practices. My goal is to help clients build resilience, self-awareness, and practical tools that support lasting growth and progress in the areas of life they hope to improve.
I am best positioned to support adults ages 18 and older who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and emotional burnout. I also have a strong interest in working with military members and Veterans who may be coping with adjustment difficulties, identity changes, chronic stress, or the emotional impact of service experiences. My approach is especially helpful for individuals who may be hard on themselves, feel emotionally overwhelmed, or are looking to build healthier coping skills, self-compassion, and greater emotional balance.
Compassion Focused
I provide a warm, supportive space where clients can explore difficult emotions without judgment and begin building a more compassionate relationship with themselves. Using a compassion-focused approach, I help individuals work through anxiety, shame, self-criticism, stress, and life transitions by developing emotional resilience, self-understanding, and healthier coping patterns. My goal is to help clients feel safe, empowered, and more connected to their values while creating meaningful, lasting change.
