Hello, I’m Monique Searight, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Aaron’s Safe Haven Psychiatry. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adults throughout Pennsylvania via telehealth. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, panic disorder, mood disorders, and women’s mental health. My approach is collaborative and personalized, with a focus on helping you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care. I am especially passionate about supporting women who have spent years caring for others, carrying overwhelming responsibilities, or simply trying to stay strong while putting their own emotional needs aside. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan designed to help you find greater balance, stability, and emotional wellness. At Aaron’s Safe Haven Psychiatry, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where compassionate care comes first.

First session

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, personal history, medical history, previous treatment experiences, and your goals for care. I take time to understand the whole person—not just the diagnosis—so together we can develop a treatment plan that fits your needs. My goal is for you to leave your first visit feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about your treatment.

Strengths

I bring compassion, authenticity, and a calm, supportive presence to every session. My life experiences have deepened my understanding of how overwhelming stress, loss, anxiety, and life's challenges can be, allowing me to connect with clients in a genuine and empathetic way. I believe in creating a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest while also feeling supported to grow. My approach is collaborative—I take time to listen, educate, and help clients understand their treatment options. When appropriate, I will gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns or behaviors because meaningful change often comes from both support and honest reflection. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, not judged, as they work toward lasting emotional wellness.

Ideal clients

Many of my clients have spent so much time taking care of everyone else that they've forgotten how to care for themselves. I work best with adults who are ready to better understand themselves and take an active role in improving their mental health. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, panic attacks, mood disorders, stress, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. I also enjoy supporting women through life transitions, including career stress, relationship challenges, caregiving responsibilities, and changes that can affect emotional well-being. Whether you're seeking treatment for the first time or returning to care after a difficult experience, I strive to provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel heard and respected. My ideal clients are open to collaboration and committed to working together toward meaningful, lasting change.

Treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate mindfulness, psychoeducation, lifestyle recommendations, and evidence-based medication management to provide whole-person psychiatric care.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is an essential part of every appointment. I believe that understanding mental health conditions, treatment options, and medications empowers patients to make informed decisions and actively participate in their care. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and education about diagnoses, medications, lifestyle factors, coping strategies, and relapse prevention. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with supportive education so patients leave each session feeling informed, confident, and actively involved in their treatment plan.

In addition to be an authentic and warm, I found monique to be intelligent, solution oriented and humorous. She made me feel relaxed, and it was easy to open up to her. She asked thoughtful questions which gave me the opportunity to explore some of the issues that I came here for. She developed a plan to help me begin to tackle some of the challenges that I am facing.
