Stan Williams
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida. I work with families, couples or individuals who seek to enhance their quality of life and their capability to deal with life challenges effectively. I follow a family systems approach with a focus on underlying processes and root causes of life struggles. I emphasize the clarification of relational patterns, the importance of personal responsibility, and the value of looking at one's own contribution to life issues or relational challenges.
First session
During out 1st session, we will establish a comfortable rapport. I will get to know you and determine a path forward to determine the best use of our time together.
Strengths
My greatest strength is my ability to be objective or neutral in our relationship. I strive to be free of any agenda that might interfere with our work together. I will focus in on key issues of your presenting problem or situation. I will ask you process-focused questions to facilitate the power of your thinking process in moving forward.
Ideal clients
I am most interested in working with you if you are motivated and willing to look at the part you play in life situations. I am seeking clients who take an active interest in their growth and who are willing to be introspective to seek understanding of the part they might play in life issues.

Family Therapy
I follow a systemic model of therapy. I will facilitate your exploration and understanding of the fundamental basis of your presenting issues. Because presenting issues can provide windows to the clarification of core issues that can be uncovered and clarified to enhance your ability to know yourself, your contributions to life situations, and to function more effectively.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I practice a form of mindful presence that helps me get into your world. This allows me to connect with your human reality and your particular life's challenges. This practice facilitates a more objective frame of reference to help you to process your life situations.
