Hi! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology from Texas Tech University and my master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. I have spent the last 10 years gaining experience in working in private practice, rehab centers, psychiatric hospitals, and behavioral centers.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together will consist of a diagnostic interview that will include gaining background information as well as what is the current issue(s) that you are wanting to discuss. This will help me to create a treatment plan and strategy on what approach would be best for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider I will provide a nonjudgmental space for you to process your troubles as well as be a mentor to help you gain life long skills that can be used for emotion regulation.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with clients 13 years old and older who need help navigating their altered lives after trauma. I like being able to help clients who do not have the proper skill set to handle what they have experienced and are now faced with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression.

My treatment methods

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT has been my choice of therapy for the past four years. It has helped my clients to meet their goals in an array of varying issues such as regulating daily symptoms, processing traumatic experiences, and challenging their beliefs in relationships. DBT can help to teach you skills in the four categories of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
