I am a doctorate-prepared, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I see clients from 5 to 75 years old. I am a clinician who strives to provide care with honesty and compassion. I will actively listen to your needs and be honest about how I can help. I welcome full transparency from my clients. I want to know how you feel and how treatment works for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

It is my goal that my clients leave their first session with a sense of relief that the work is being done to improve their mental health. I want you to leave the session feeling like your concerns were heard.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to listen and have compassion for my clients. I feel that the work I do is my calling. I want to help my clients live the best life that they can. Therefore, I work hard to help my client to achieve this goal as much as possible.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I believe in teamwork when it comes to your care. Your input about your body and your care is essential. We will work together to treat the root of the issues. An evidence-based treatment plan will be put together, prioritizing your long-term health. Therefore, I appreciate clients striving to improve their mental health and willing to participate fully in their care. I ask that patients be patient and consistent with finding the proper pharmacological treatment while using other therapeutic interventions and coping skills to assist with their health.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I have been working in specialties that have contributed to my experience in trauma-informed care for over 15 years. My expertise includes Adult, Child, and Adolescent inpatient and outpatient Psychiatry and positions within Child Maltreatment as Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and Court and Corrections. Through these experiences, I have discovered helping individuals work through their trauma with therapy and medication management is a passion and calling.

Psychoeducation

Through my 15 years of psychiatric experience, I realized education is a crucial component of healing. Therefore, I strive to discuss their diagnoses and medication regimens with my clients and educate them on the benefits of various treatments.

Supportive

Life happens, and I am here to support my clients. I welcome full transparency from my clients. I aim to create a safe place for you to be transparent about your struggles and cry if needed. I tell my clients, "If you can't cry with me, then I don't know who you can cry with..that is what I am here for." I will actively listen to your needs and be honest about how I can help. I want to know how you feel and how treatment works for you.
