New to Grow
Hi, I’m a therapist who works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, and high-stress situations. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being honest without fear of judgement. I believe therapy should feel human and collaborative, not cold or clinical. My style is warm, direct, supportive, and engaging, while also helping clients challenge patterns that may be keeping them stuck.
In the first session, clients can expect a collaborative conversation focused on understanding what brings them to therapy, what they’ve been struggling with, and what they hope will change. I also explore important relationships, stressors, coping patterns, and personal strengths. My goal is for clients to leave feeling heard, understood, and less alone in what they are experiencing.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to connect with people, including clients who may have struggled opening up to others in the past. I’m comfortable working with intense emotions, crisis situations, trauma, family conflict, and high-stress environments while remaining calm, supportive, and grounded. I provide nonjudgmental support while also helping clients challenge unhealthy patterns and build healthier ways of coping. I incorporate trauma-informed care, EMDR techniques, emotional regulation skills, and practical problem-solving into my work. I also bring unique life experiences and a human approach to therapy that helps clients feel understood on a deeper level. My focus is not only on symptom reduction, but on helping clients improve relationships, gain confidence, process painful experiences, and feel more in control of their lives.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use many different therapies. Everyone is so different. I think therapy should be based on the client and their specific needs vs trying to fit everyone into a certain theory.
EMDR
I use EMDR for clients with trauma, PTSD, or anyone who has memories that often invade their mind or memories that are too hard to even think about.
