(she/her)
Hi! My name is Nabeela Khan. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) licensed in Illinois and Georgia. I received my degree in counseling from Northwestern University. I enjoy helping people of all backgrounds heal from past trauma, change unhelpful patterns, and improve their relationship with themself and others. I strive to help clients meet their goals in a way that feels comfortable and safe to them.
Clients can expect a caring, compassionate therapist who is on their team. I strive to meet clients with deep understanding and to provide support and assistance with making meaningful change.
I provide a safe space for clients to feel comfortable and share as much or as little as they would like. I know therapy can be intimidating, I allow clients the ability to open up as it feels comfortable to them.
I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with trauma, life transitions, neurodivergence, sexuality, and gender.
Psychodynamic
I was trained in a psychodynamic program and enjoy utilizing psychodynamic therapy as a form of trauma treatment.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use trauma-focused CBT to help clients reframe unhelpful thought patterns as they relate to past trauma and their current life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I provide DBT skills to all clients to help them have tools outside of session to help manage emotions as they arise.
