Hi, I’m Erin Robertson, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Cozy Nest Counseling. I specialize in guiding women and families through the perinatal and postpartum seasons, including the profound grief of perinatal loss. My practice offers a compassionate, judgment-free space to process life’s most vulnerable transitions—where exhaustion, intrusive thoughts, identity shifts, and strained relationships often collide. I bring a holistic and heartfelt approach, combining clinical expertise with authenticity, to ensure you feel seen, supported, and gently empowered through every step of your healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a gentle beginning—a chance for us to get to know each other in a calm, supportive space. We’ll start with a warm introduction and take time to talk about what’s been feeling heavy or hard for you lately. From there, we’ll begin to explore your hopes and goals, and I’ll start crafting a thoughtful, personalized plan to support you. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out—we’ll take things one step at a time, together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of the things I cherish most about this work is the opportunity to truly know and care for the people I support. I bring a deep, heartfelt curiosity into every session—wanting to understand not just the challenges you’re facing, but the story behind them. I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued for who you are. I’m also someone who strives to be accessible and responsive. Whether it’s a quick check-in or a moment when you need extra support, I want you to feel that I’m here—steady, present, and ready to hold space for whatever you’re carrying. My approach is grounded in authenticity and trust. I show up as a real person in the room—honest, compassionate, and human. I believe that the most healing connections happen when we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves, and that’s what I hope to cultivate in our work together. At the heart of it all, my passion lies in walking alongside people as they reconnect with their own worth and inner strength. I believe you already carry the seeds of healing and growth within you—and my role is simply to nurture that process, gently and with care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My passion lies in supporting new parents through the emotional, psychological, and relational challenges that often accompany the transition to parenthood. I work with mothers, fathers, and families navigating postpartum depression, anxiety, identity shifts, and the overwhelm that can come with caring for a newborn. Many of the clients I work with feel isolated, disconnected from themselves or their partners, or unsure of how to manage the mental and emotional load of parenthood. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where they can process these experiences and begin to feel more grounded and understood. In addition to supporting individuals, I also work with couples and families adjusting to the shifting dynamics that come with a new baby—whether it’s their first child or they’re expanding their family. My approach is holistic, taking into account not just individual mental health but also the relational and systemic factors that impact the entire family unit. I specialize in helping clients heal emotionally, strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and create a nurturing foundation for their growing family. My goal is to walk alongside parents during this transformative season with empathy, clarity, and care.
