Hi and welcome! We all struggle with the human condition from time to time. As your therapist, I’m here to meet you with genuine connection - to truly see and hear you. It's only in a safe, supportive space that we can truly unpack the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that shape our lives - and create lasting, intentional change. I offer a unique blend of motivational coaching and in-depth therapy. Together, we’ll take a holistic look at your unique humanness - your strengths, struggles, values and patterns - while working toward practical, goal-oriented solutions that help you reduce emotional suffering and move forward in your life, relationships, and career.
In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, encouraging space that can foster real growth. The process of counseling can sometimes bring up uncomfortable or difficult emotions - this is a normal and important part of healing. Just like mastering a sport takes consistent practice, developing new emotional skills, working through pain, and changing long-standing patterns takes time, effort, and patience. I’ll be there to walk beside you throughout this journey, offering encouragement, kindness, and honest feedback. My style is warm but direct - I believe in your ability to grow, and at times, I may challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone in service of your goals. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and the life you envision for yourself.
While I have served an incredibly diverse range of clients with many different needs and challenges, what truly makes me an effective counselor is my innate combination of emotional intelligence, intuition, empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help others. I've always had a deep natural curiosity about people and their stories, which led me to study Sociology and Mental Health Counseling. Along the way, I learned how individuals and groups create meaning from their experiences—and how uniquely each person sees and navigates the world. In our work together, I’ll meet you with that same curiosity and respect, tailoring my approach to fit who you are, not a one-size-fits-all model.
If you have a growth mindset and a desire to heal, grow, or simply understand yourself more deeply, you have come to the right place. I am honored to work with individuals who are ready to explore their inner worlds, even when that path feels uncertain or overwhelming. I have extensive experience helping clients navigate grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, those finding their way in recovery from addictions and relationship challenges. Yet no matter the presenting issue, my focus is on meeting you where you are and helping you learn to cope, and eventually thrive, within the unique blend of your characteristics, circumstances, and goals. The strongest predictors of success in therapy are a trusting therapeutic relationship and your engagement and motivation throughout the process. When we work together with trust, openness, and a shared commitment, real and lasting improvements in your life can happen.
CBT can be utilized to treat a wide variety of issues and is one of the most researched (evidenced based) treatments available. In session we will work on identifying and changing current distressing thoughts and behavioral patterns. Many of my clients find they like CBT because it not only deals with problems in the here and now, but they can also continue using CBT in their daily lives, even after therapy concludes.
In my many years of experience working with death, dying and trauma I have come to integrate elements of psychoeducation, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Strength-based Therapy and Gesalt to help clients navigate through their personal grief process.
You can expect elements of Humanistic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gesalt and Strength-Based Therapy in our work together. As no two individuals are the same, the interventions used in my work are guided by individual client needs.
