About me

Whether it be anxiety/depression, unprocessed trauma, medical issues/illness, divorce, or chemical dependency just to name a few. Allow me to help you address the emotional challenges that may be causing you a variety of symptoms -- frustration, sadness, decreased motivation or anger -- as this is often how the issues we are struggling with surface in our lives. Helping you discover and understand the root cause of your issues is the goal to help you live a more empowered and fulfilling life. I've worked in various clinical settings from psychiatric hospitals, to county jail. My approach is truly collaborative, I utilize CBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, etc. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a Registered Nurse for over 15yrs. I understand the interplay between our mental and physical health, and how one effects the other. Let’s work together to address the challenges in your life. Finding a therapist that fits your needs is essential, if I am not the therapist for you, I'll help you find one who is.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session we will discuss your needs and reason for seeking therapy. Everyone is individual and there is no “one size fits all” type of therapy. We will develop a treatment plan that addresses your needs, with an approach you can relate to.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I see individual's, couples and families struggling with a myriad of issues from anxiety, depression, trauma and marital discord, to name a few. My strength as a provider is my compassion for those struggling with issues and my ability to make clients comfortable to express their feelings in a safe space.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work most often with anxiety, depression, trauma, anger and those with decreased motivation. I also work with women's issues, chronic and terminal illness, elderly issues and grief. Due to my background as a Registered Nurse I see individuals who are dealing with long standing medical issues along with those newly diagnosed.
