Hi! I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with over 10 years of compassionate practice as a mental health RN. I have been practicing as a PMHNP for over 3 years treating a variety of mental illnesses across the lifespan. My professional knowledge & personal experiences affords me the opportunity to bring you the best possible care so you can reach your true potential. My passion is to help people through medication management and supportive therapy.
Our first session will consist of history taking, getting to know each other, and addressing your most troublesome concerns. We will create a treatment plan that fits your individual needs, and we will work together thorough follow up sessions to reach your personal goals and alleviate symptoms with medication management and supportive therapy.
I witnessed the stigma surrounding mental illness & difficulties accessing care. This inspired me, & I made it mission to fight for improved access and treatment for those suffering mental illness. With over 10 years of experience in nursing, specializing in mental health, I am driven by a profound passion and dedicated mission to alleviate the symptoms of mental health disorders and combat the stigma surrounding mental health in the U.S.
I enjoy working with all ages struggling with ADHD, Mood disorders, and Anxiety disorders who feel hopeless or stuck without the necessary tools to help them succeed. In my experience, many people struggling with a mental illness do not have the necessary tools to help them become their true self.
I believe incorporating person-centered approach with medication management can create a holistic approach to mental health care, ensuring that both the psychological and biological aspects of a patient's well-being are addressed. This allows for client-centered medication management and shared decision making approach.
I utilize a supportive therapy approach combined with medication management to offer a robust framework for addressing mental health issues by providing emotional support while managing the biological aspects of mental health conditions. I believe this combined strategy can lead to better patient outcomes and a more holistic sense of well-being.
I believe motivational interviewing is a client-centered, directive method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. By combining motivational interviewing with medication management, I create a supportive, patient-centered approach that addresses both psychological readiness and practical aspects of treatment adherence, which leada to improved health outcomes and greater patient satisfaction.
