Do you feel stressed? Anxious? Depressed? Coming to counseling can be a scary thing; it can even take a lot of courage to find a therapist. The first step in counseling takes an immense amount of courage, yet here you are. Congratulations on taking the first step! Take a deep breath and tell yourself, “I am proud of you.” Your therapy journey is your story, I am just along to help you sort the pieces. Therapy is what you make of it, I will help to make it the best experience that I can for you!
The first session is more of a dump it all out there, get to know you kind of session. First sessions should be easy going and allow the client a chance to get comfortable with you whether it’s in person or virtually.
Know that I am committed to meeting you where you are and making therapy an environment that you enjoy, whatever that looks like for you. Here you are safe, accepted, heard and loved. I feel that health, especially mental health is something that we can never stop or stall our growth in. Everyone needs to take care of their health in different ways.
Working with children/teens that have experienced some sort of abuse is something that I have spent a lot of time working in that area. I work with younger teens up to adults of any age! I look forward to working with you!
I love working with teens ages 14 up into adults! I feel that I work well with the teen and young adult age range. I am passionate about what I do and will push you as far as you are willing to go.
